Led Zeppelin [ˌlɛdˈzɛplɪn]
ist eine englische Rockband der späten 1960er und 1970er-Jahre. Die Band ist mit 300 Millionen verkauften Alben, davon alleine 100 Millionen in den USA, nicht nur eine der erfolgreichsten Rockbands, sondern gilt auch als Pionier des Hard Rock und des Heavy Metal. Sie verarbeitete aber auch Einflüsse anderer musikalischer Genres wie etwa des Blues und der Folkmusik. Eines ihrer bekanntesten Lieder ist Stairway to Heaven.

Die Band bestand von der Gründung 1968 bis zur Auflösung 1980 durchgehend aus Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones und John Bonham; sie löste sich auf, nachdem Bonham im September 1980 verstorben war. Am 10. Dezember 2007 fand bei einem Konzert in London die offizielle Wiedervereinigung von Plant, Page und Jones als „Led Zeppelin“ statt, bei der auch John Bonhams Sohn Jason Bonham als Schlagzeuger mitwirkte.
